ABOUT THE FESTIVALThe Lantern Media Festival is an idea conceived by Sam Marlow and Anthony Jarman. It was born out of mutual frustration that the south east doesn't really have a single body or festival, that caters for all creative disciplines (we have lumped these into four broad categories, film, photography, art and music.) The main purpose of the festival is to give both international and local submissions a platform to exhibit their work. We have taken a basic film festival formula, and expanded it to other artistic areas. We are glad to be holding our main event at The Trinity Arts Theatre, Tunbridge Wells, as we believe this will serve as a perfect space for the festival to take place. The theatre has a cinema and projection facility, art gallery, a bar and an area for people to congregate and network. Those of you that are familiar with the layout of the Trinity will know exactly what we're talking about. The other aspect of Lantern, is that a host of other events will be happening over the year following the festival opening, for example themed film nights, a small music festival is in the works and various networking events. The other great thing is, we're entirely open to suggestions about other events that we could put on. Feel free to send us your ideas, info@lanternmediafestival.com. THE TEAMSam Marlow

He operates a busy schedule in Video Production, and works at Prospect Arts and Communication, a local production company with very big ideas. With several short films in pre-production, Anthony is looking to make the jump to producing feature films in the not-too-distant future.
